Building Operations and Pandemic Emergencies

With the declaration of a Public Health Emergency in January 2020, it is critical for facilities managers to understand how to respond and mitigate risk associated with COVID-19 and other Pandemic emergencies. In this workshop we will discuss what COVID-19 is, how it can spread rapidly throughout a facility, and how to continue ongoing Environmental Stewardship of building operations during a Pandemic crisis. The discussion will provide key risk reduction actions that facilities managers can immediately implement to safeguard facilities operating systems against the threat of Airborne Infectious Disease to your properties.
Our goal is to provide FM’s with ongoing support and resources to maintain healthy buildings.

Janet Lockridge, a seasoned professional with a multitude of high-level skills in the areas of human resources, training and development, healthcare leadership, and mentoring. Janet a former human resources recruiter within the healthcare industry, has evolved and has enhanced her skills to conduct a variety of trainings in the areas of leadership development, safety training and program development, employee engagement, supervisor training, conflict resolution, and career development.

She is an innovative and creative business owner who assists her clients to enhance their environmental health and safety programs. She has served as an advisor for several employee engagement and employee safety committees to build team cohesiveness. She mentors young professionals and have seen tremendous growth of the individuals under her guidance. In addition, she reviewed and updated human resources polices and standard operating procedures to align with several governmental and healthcare regulatory standards.

In addition, she teaches Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) safety classes at area community colleges. Throughout the years, she has continued her training and has several FEMA and Homeland Security Certifications Homeland Security Emergency Exercise Planning and Evaluation (HSEEP), Incident Command Structure, ICS Forms Management, Active Shooter Awareness etc.

She is a single mother of two young men, one in college and the other in high school. She is active in her community serving on a board for a local elementary charter school, and loves to spend time with friends and family. Her main hobby is painting and refinishing furniture. She also enjoys cooking and listening to live jazz music.

Janet has a B.S. degree from Park University in Marketing Management, a Masters of Arts in Health Care Administration from Webster University in Kansas City, certification in Community Health Center Executive Fellowship from the University of Kansas Medical Center, and Certification from Turner School of Construction Management. In addition, finally, she completed the Clark Weitz Clarkson Construction Management Strategic Partnership Program.
