The NAIC’s newly remodeled headquarters at 1111 Main is a showcase of modern design, sustainability, and forward-thinking workplace solutions. Over the course of 18 months, the organization transformed its workspace—reducing its footprint from seven floors to five while enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.

A striking open staircase now connects the 8th through 11th floors, fostering collaboration and visual connectivity. One of the highlights of the renovation is a serene indoor green space, complete with a living moss wall—designed to promote wellness and offer staff a refreshing retreat during the workday.

Recently recognized for its excellence in design, NAIC’s innovative new office space earned an Excellence Award—a testament to its commitment to creating an inspiring and sustainable work environment.

During the tour, you’ll hear from key facility management professionals and project leaders who played a role in the renovation process. Learn about the challenges, successes, and strategic decisions that shaped this remarkable space.

Our Hosts will be:
Brent Roper
Brent Roper serves as the Director of Benefits and Facilities at the NAIC. A Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Brent brings a wealth of experience and academic achievement to his role, holding both a Master’s degree in Business and a Law degree. Over his 28-year tenure with the NAIC, he has held various leadership positions across Human Resources and Facilities, contributing significantly to the organization’s growth and operational excellence.

  Kristin Stanberry
Kristin Stanberry is the Senior Facility Manager at the NAIC and a Certified Facility Manager (CFM). With 27 years of dedicated service in the Facilities department, Kristin has been instrumental in shaping and maintaining efficient, innovative workspaces that support the NAIC’s mission and employees.

From I-35 take the Truman Road Exit
Turn Left onto Main St
1111 Main Building (Please enter the building at the Walnut Street entrance).

Parking will be at the 12th & Walnut Parking Garage

Please park in visitor parking or any open space (do not park in reserved spaces).
Please bring your parking ticket with you to the event for free parking validation.

ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN:        
Once you arrive at the 1111 Main building, first-floor lobby, please proceed to the concierge/security desk for check-in.
Building Security will call NAIC to announce all visitors.
Upon ifmaKC member’s arrival, NAIC Facilities staff will escort everyone through the security turnstiles, up the low-rise elevators to the 9th floor training rooms 918/919
