Join us for an Urban Hike adventure through the heart of Kansas City’s West Bottoms—a guided tour full of fascinating stories, local history, and meaningful connections 

This event is being hosted by our Emerging Professionals Committee and is designed to connect young, up-and-coming facility management professionals with seasoned FMs in a fun and relaxed outdoor setting. We especially encourage FMs to bring along their interns or Assistant FMs to enjoy the fresh air, build connections, and share insights on the trail.

🧭 About the Hike:

Step into the story of Kansas City. Explore the historic area where KC got its start, wandering century-old cobblestone streets surrounded by towering historic buildings, eclectic local businesses, and vibrant murals. Along the way, discover the newly completed Rock Island Bridge and learn about exciting plans to breathe new life into this once-bustling district. It’s a fascinating look at where Kansas City began, where it is today, and where it’s headed next.

After the hike, we’ll gather nearby to relax, enjoy some complimentary beer and wine, and continue the conversation with peers and mentors alike.
